Let the Holiday Shopping Begin

Halloween, that is.

October has taken me by surprise yet again. You'd think by now I'd see it coming.

I have a new house and a little baby: primo Halloween opportunities.
I don't want the standard plastic pumpkin and bendy-jointed skeleton.

But I do like the idea of this scary cat peeking out our front windows:


I like these kooky grass pets so much I put them on our home page this week:

I don't want overkill. Maybe that's enough. Then again, it's only the 3rd. I still have almost four weeks to be charmed by the oddball items out there for Halloween. I think Etsy is my next stop.
