Thanks for all of the nice comments so far! I can already tell that this is going to be such a great show! This is so exciting for me because it's like a big game - trying to guess who will be the next Design Star! As I said in my earlier post, I have already studied the contestants as much as I can. It will be fun to see, over the next few weeks, if any of "our" predictions come true! (And, by "our" I mean "our Design Star Dish family" of course!) This is what I have come up with so far...
(and in case you are wondering and want to know more about the Design Stars, all of this information is in their bios. Design Star is awesome!)
First of all, LOVE all of the hoopla re: season 2. I just eat this stuff up. I've even overheard people at work talking about it! Design Star may take over the world if we're not careful... ha! Anyway, from what I've seen so far...I have it narrowed down to three. Here are my impressions so far...
Scott - LOVED the ceiling he did that was featured in his video interview. But, I'm not feeling it with him. I don't know why. Loved his choice of slacks and cowboy boots in his photo shoot -- cute, cute, cute. And, he might surprise me. He is obviously talented AND successful. (has a vacation home...read his Q and A:o)
Todd Davis - cute guy. But, his look reminds me of that guy from "Over your Head." (you know who I'm talking about...that guy who HAS to be John Tesh's son! has to be!) So, I'm afraid we already have one of him. And...not wild about the shoe choice. But, LOVE the belt buckle! Really nice belt buckle choice. So, there may be potential there. Such a cute guy. And he does BEAUTIFUL rock work. I'll be interested to see him in action. Also, graduated from Cal Poly! So, he's a smarty! That can't hurt!
Josh F. - Enough with the green already. But, after reading your Q and A, I do realize that it is definitely a PASSION for you. And, I respect that. Seriously. And, I love everyone I know who has graduated from Principia. So...who knows. But, my gut instinct tells me that Josh F. would have been great on "What's Your Sign Design."
JOSH JOHNSON!!!!!!! - LOVE HIM!!!!!!!! I don't know why, but he is the one for me! I don't know if it is because I can tell that I would like him to decorate every single room in my house...including my garage AND storage shed. Or maybe it's because he looks like a rock star - but has that darling Tennessee drawl. Or maybe it's because his face kind of reminds me of my little girl's darling face...(you know...if she were a man and had platinum blonde hair) Or maybe it is his sense of humor. It could be that he has a David Lee Roth quality about him - long blonde hair, unbuttoned shirt - and, David Lee Roth was my ideal when I was in high school! Yes...It's true...I'm really old. I don't know. But, as the teenage daughter from "The Jetson's" would say..."he is the utmost!" I love his show idea. And, I love that he used to be a probation officer! And, love Moesha. And...it goes without saying...good shoes.
Neeraja - Hmmm...she's going to be an interesting one. She kind of seems like a combination of Miss Utah and Vanessa from season 1. ALL THE WHILE...looking like she should be Angelica Houston's daughter. AND...REALLY probably should have been a model. She looks really beautiful to me. Loved her entire look...even the shoes. But, she is going to be trouble. Too hard to get along with... She may be the first one gone.
I am truly scared of Robb. Help me. And, someone tell Steve Watson that he has competition! But, more importantly...I wonder if Robb is a "Man's man?" (he only said that 12 times in his video) I don't know what I think about Robb. I have a feeling he is going to be a tough nut to crack. Everything repels me about him. EXCEPT...his shoes. Fabulous shoes, Robb. Okay. In fact, I'll even go as far as to say that Robb had my favorite shoe in the Male category.
Lisa - I am so confused. I can't hear what you are saying because I am too mesmerized by your hair. I do love your wedding dress though. And, something tells me that you are really talented. And, of course, the lime green stilettos...darling. And, the fact that you live on the same block as your parents and other relatives...too cute. I guess I will have to know more about Lisa before I can judge her too harshly...
Kim Myles - I love everything about Kim Myles. Okay. I don't love the nose ring. But, honestly, I really do love everything else. I just want to hang out with her. She is SO CUTE!!!! I love that lamp made from gold safety pins! (or paper clips?) I love her voice. I love her look! TOO CUTE! And, as far as I'm concerned...hands down...the best shoes of the entire cast! I'm watching Kim!
Adriana - she made me cry when I watched her video. Seriously. She is so sincere. Not to mention...gorgeous. She is absolutely beautiful - in every way. I'm so taken by Adriana's presence that I can't remember what kind of shoes she was wearing in her photo shoot. And, let me tell you, that is saying something. And...in her video clip didn't I spot a "John Deere" t-shirt? I have a lot of farm girl in me. And, any designer who wears that t-shirt HAS to be pretty great! I can't wait to see what Adriana is like!
Christina Ray - She is a cutie pie. But, no sparks for me. Didn't love the jean skirt. Didn't love the sensible shoes with the little black dress. I don't think she is going to make it. BUT...I totally love that she can paint a room with the 2 and 4 year olds in the room. That is amazing! And, I LOVE her dream project! Heart of gold! And, she seems so genuinely nice! That is always refreshing! So...we'll see...
Okay...Will Smith = awesome. I can't wait to see what he can do. I love the fact that he started designing because his girlfriend moved out and he was left with an empty apartment! My immediate reaction? Winner. Second reaction? probably should be the guy that "Jared" passes the mantle to...(Subway Deli.) (Watch his video and you will understand!) Something tells me that he is special. And, darling shoe choice.
I admit it. I love Design Star. I love Clive. (does anyone besides me think that Clive gets funnier as time goes on? I have always liked his sense of humor. But, for some reason, he is just so funny to me now.) I love the judges. Everything. I can't wait until the 22nd!!!

ok, LOVE LOVE kim's design!!!!! todd's just too into himself and too hyper!. kim shows class and style. she would make a great host, down to earth, very good in front of the camera and gives a lot of info and shows that she's not afraid to show she's nervous about the design but she gets it done.
GOOD JOB KIM!!!!!!

My husband and I watched the whole season and from the start said it would be Kim, Todd, or Will. Loved Sparkle and couldn't wait for Robb to go to his happy hunting ground. Hawaii tells it all - would you pay Big Bucks to stay in Todd's room with the kitchen next to the bed - Make this a Honeymoon Suite. But, Kim's would truly make you say Ahhhhhhhhhh! Nice work Kim! Just think some of these contestants were actually trained and studied Interior Design and here is Kim with her own ideas and beats them all - WAY TO GO!

Just watched the show and was very impressed by Kim's room. The room was very warm and a very good use of her space. She truly does have a lot of class and it comes natural to her...regardless to the fact that she lacks prior design experience. When you got it, you go it and she definitely has it. Such a bubbly personality and she just seems genuine. Nothing against Josh, but he doesn’t exude the tenacity it would take to actually be a host of his own show, maybe a guest host for a show or two…but come on. I wish Kim all the best; she would truly shine as the new host. If she does not win, I would really be surprised, well not that surprised, this is still a very racist country and we all know, a blond-haired-white-man would attract more votes. I will be voting for Kim everyday, you go girl!!!!

I watched the last Design Star and I was totally pleased with the outcome. David is a wonderful designer and I look forward to seeing his custom artwork. It is my dream to use a jig saw like he does. Way to go David! Also good choice of partner in Danielle Hirsh she is really pleasant and talented.

just looking at old episodes playing and wondering why the judges don't see the work in progress as we do at home. If they had seen what we did I can;t understand why Robb did not go home sooner. He was disagreeable from day one. It was good to let Scott go since he cried too much. I hope they realize that they made a real mistake in letting sparkle go when they did.
They do seem a little predjudiced against Will and I think maybe Sparkle too.

As soon as I heard this year's Design Star was going to occur in Las Vegas, I had a feeling I was going to be disappointed in the series and I was right. I liked the way it was done last year with each person doing a couple of individual designs before they worked in a group. That way the audience got a feel for each person's design style and they got a feel for each other and how compatible their styles were. This years it just seemed like a mish mash and it wasn't until they went to the 99 cent store and did their own thing that you could really see who had a flare for design. The wedding show was about the tackiest thing on TV and the two people who were disqualified from that episode should not have been. The couple getting married didn't want a classy wedding and they were not a classy couple. It reminded me of a couple right out of the "Beverly Hillbillies" who came to the big city for a wedding around the "cement pond". Even the judges were short on positive comments on that episode. Next year I would like to see it back to the level that it was the first year. I am an avid fan of HGTV and watch nearly all of the afternoon and evening shows. David's show is awesome -- another one of that caliber would be great.

I watched last years Design Star every week and even the reruns for the week. Now lets talk this seasons Design Star. There have not been any designers that have stood out for their designs. I wish there were more individual callenges. Adriena fell short on her individual design as did Scott. I can't stand watching Todd fly around with his goofy stunts. I want some fresh ideas like Christinas room. That red and black was stunning. I felt that Josh was a great shopper and if it were'nt for his shopping, two room designs would not have come together. I am truely disappointed this season with the choices. I can't believe they had 200 people to choose from and this is what we get! I hope Robb does not make it any further! He is the most abraisive person I've ever seen on any of the design shows. I know I won't watch him if he gets his own show. It's really a shame that the judges hear comments from Robb about his fellow designers and judge those designers according to those comments. I feel the comments are degrading and have no truth to them. In fact I feel Robb is trying to degrade those who might be a threat. I'll never forget him saying at the $.99 store that he bought all the lights so no one would have them in their design.
Last seasons stars were great. I thought David Bromstad was a fabulous designer. I thought Alice was also. I'm so glad David won and I love Color Splash and now I found Alice is being featured on HGTV with her design info. Great job HGTV.
Maybe next year will be a better year for Design Star

I cannot believe "Sparkle" Josh was eliminated. I would turn in to his show on HGTV anytime. He had personality and style.. Rob is a loudmouth. I would never watch his show. He would aggrevate me too much. Will does not know the English language. Todd is great to look at and as a great personality also. I liked his great imagination. Kim - too ho hum. But Sparkle Josh was a winner.
Posted by Martha – August 24, 2007 10:11 PM
I feel that Todd is the only Designer out of the bunch after you had each person design their own room. The Las Vegas theme wedding job was TACKY & poorly done! I don't know who picked these contestants to be on the show out of thousands of entrants. I am very disappointed.
Posted by D. Smith – August 23, 2007 1:33 AM
Four to go and you still have dreadful Robb...he has the personality of a barracuda and treats others with a total lack of respect. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to work with him and cannot imagine watching such a jerk on any show.
The other three at least have pleasant personalities although Will is not very articulate. Kim has such poise and inspires; Todd is showman but maybe too outre for most people.
Posted by lilaclamb – August 22, 2007 9:51 PM
I love this show and right now I would vote for Kim. I don't think you're going to find another David, though. He's the best.
Posted by Patricia Starks – August 20, 2007 11:58 AM
it is pretty clear--the women were either too old to suit the judges, or ethnic--they eliminated the latino woman last time right away, and did the same again--there were a couple of women in the cut process who were older and looked like possibles that they didn't even choose. this is all about being a presentable host who will bring ratings. my vote is for sparkle josh, who acts decently toward everybody, is a good designer and won't bore the masses.
Posted by delieres – August 19, 2007 3:39 PM
Christina is very manipulative and nasty as seen in the first show when she was making derogatory remarks about her partner. There was almost an ethnic bias. I would never watch a show with her as hostess. She thinks she can fool the public but i think they can see her for the manipulative bigot she is. Get rid of her!
Posted by Tricia – August 12, 2007 10:25 PM
I was very glad to see Adriana not make it through 3 as I think her style has to much going on. I love Scott and I think bcause he does have more experience he overthought his design. But he is brilliant. Robb has to go. His personality is not one I would want to see every week. He needs to watch Vern and David Bromstad and their shows. I love Color Splash and Danilelle is great too.
Posted by cj535c – August 12, 2007 10:18 PM
I'm not crazy about Kim.
Christina, I think is such a sweetie and is very talented, and while I think she is, I think there's a slight manipulative edge festering in her.
Adriana is amazingness in human form, her story is so moving and she is probably the most talented of them all, she can do anything from dreaming up, planning and creating the design!
Will is hilarious and has fresh ideas and Sparkle Josh is very practical and has a very unique sense of style.
I loved Lisa and Neeraja but they're gone :(. Todd was good, but then he went downhill and Robb was probably just released from a mental institution. Organic Josh was so mamby pamby and Scott does nothing but complain about everything!
An interesting crop of people certainly, but my money is on Adriana for being the winner.
Posted by Andrew Alcott – August 11, 2007 8:23 PM
I am on the same page as most of you. So far, NO one stands out with any talent! Very dissapointing...if they had over 2000 applications like they claimed they should have picked better finalists. Maybe they will smarten up for next year!
Posted by mjr – August 8, 2007 5:25 PM
Robb is awesome!I like his fire and the fact he can express himself. Hes in it 2 win it! I think everyone else should get the hell out of his way and eat his dust! I liked the comment about his shoes. Nice ass kickers. GO ROBB GO!!

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PLAY THE DESIGN STAR GAME.
I CAN NEVER PUT IN THE AMOUNT OF POINTS OR CLICK
ON WHO IS GOING TO BE ELIMINATED OR WIN. VERY
FRUSTRATING.938
Posted by CLARKIE – August 6, 2007 3:02 PM
This year is quite dissapointing. I am sure that the judges agree with me.
There is not one of them that has shown real talent at this time. Please be more choosy of whom you choose next year.
Posted by rker321 – August 6, 2007 2:40 PM
Just watched the second show and I think it's going to come down to Adriana, Kim, Josh Sparkle, and Todd. Didn't think I would like Josh Sparkle, but he is definitely funny. Todd is talented, but is trying too hard to be Ty Pennington (the surfer dude character and shirtless thing are growing tiresome). I really like that Adriana has carpentry skills, and Kim is too cute. I think she would be a great TV host.
Posted by Rob – August 5, 2007 11:50 PM
I would like to see Sparkle Josh, Scott and Will compete. The rest should go home. If the majority of these folks are professionals I can't believe they have satisfied clients. How can you own a business with such obvious personality issues?
I watch HGTV to get ideas, learn design techniques, etc. I like to watch the real pros like Candace Olson, Kenneth Brown, Lisa Laporta.
This season appears to be a Reality Show Joke!!
Posted by Sharon – August 5, 2007 9:56 PM
I totally agree that this year, the talent is looking pretty sad. Last years winner was perfect as I love color splash and watch it every week.
There are a couple of folks on this years design star program that are absolutely horrible. Such as Robb. Maybe you all think it makes for good TV, but if he doesn't get booted off this week I problably will not watch this seasons show any longer. He is such a sarcastic person. If he wins I will never watch HGTV again. He is NOT a team player. How do you expect him to work as a designer on TV with lots of people!!!!

I KNOW. I THOUGHT SURELY IT WOULD BE THE BAR LADY WHO DID NOTHING. DID NOT EVEN FINISH PAINTING. I LOVED THE LITTLE PUNK LADY. I JUST DON'T THINK THEY "GOT IT", THAT IT WAS JUST AN ENTRANCE. WHAT DID THEY WANT IT TO BE, A CABARET? I THINK THE GREEN GUY MAY BE IN TROUBLE. I WAS SO SURPRISED THAT THE TWO WHO DID THE MASTER BEDROOM WORKED SO WELL TOGETHER. THEY WOULD SEEM TO BE COMPLETE OPPOSITES. I THOUGHT THE GIRLS BEDROOM WAS GOOD, BUT THEY DID NO LIKE IT.

I couldn’t wait for the season to start either. I will watch it till the end, especially when that b***h Neeraja gets cancelled. She was so rude, when she snatched the money pot away from kim. I would have snatched it back.
I don't like Neeraja, her show should have been cancelled because she did not design anything, she just added some accents pieces to the area. The bar area had the potential to be the major focal point to blow away the competition in that first elimination round. She could have scored big points with the judges. My fovorites are Kim,Josh J., Will, Adriana, with Todd and Scott running a close second.
Posted by angela – August 1, 2007 6:22 PM
THE JUDGES GOT IT WRONG WRONG WRONG I WOULDVE THOUGHT THEYD LET THE CANDIDATE WHO WAS WORKING WITH THE BAR GET THE BOOT NOT ONE BARSTOOL AND THE UNFINISHED PAINT JOB DROVE ME CRAZY,AT LEAST THE "HIPPIE" COMPLETED HER PROJECT,WHAT WAS UP WITH THAT "SCULPTURE"?
Posted by VICTOR santos – August 1, 2007 3:27 PM
Where is the talent? Last year's eliminations appear to be way ahead of most of this year's potential stars!!!!

Love, love the show last season. Along with Desparate Housewives, my Sundays were busy. I can see Josh is going to be a handfull. Will will be fun too. I am looking forward to a great show.
Posted by Yvette – July 29, 2007 9:12 PM
I love Vern. He tries so hard to be nice, but sometimes you have to tell it like it is. I think this season's show will showcase more of an urban style. Adriana is "my girl" this season. She's a "W O M A N". (like the song-Bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan...)I can hardly wait until the 29th.
Posted by Tina – July 27, 2007 5:39 PM
Hey Darlie
there is a green design show...I think it's called "Green and Red Hot". I think the cute carpenter from trading spaces, Carter, is on it too. I'm not sure what night it airs...but I've seen it and it is fairly new. Check it out. J.F. is interesting, but unless HGTV can put another spin on green ....it's been done, sorry
Posted by Sslorek0 – July 25, 2007 3:56 PM
I cannot believe some of the people that even get to try to be finalists! Yoga cat lady? PULEEZE! I want to see some new designers. I want to learn and be entertained! So far I love the "green guy" because his work is something that I would love in my home. Diner girl is cute but hopefully she can design more than diners! The little one that has a hard time with English but can do everything else is good but I have not seen any design work!
Posted by Patricia – July 25, 2007 1:55 PM
MY VOTE IS FOR JOSH FOSS!!!
Ok. Haven't seen his work yet, but watching Making the Cut and reading the online profiles, I think he has the most marketability. There are no shows, that I'm aware of, on Green Design and it's a hot topic right now. People want to know how to go green. The others seem to have little direction when asked what type of show they would do. Some answered shows that are already developed, some had no clue, and others have ideas that would not be very marketable to the average person.
A green show is totally unique and he's adorable as well. I disagree that it's out. I think Green design is still in its infancy.
The bottom line is this show is about finding a designer for a great show next year -not someone that just wants to be famous. There are a few others that I like but I think he's the whole package and truly has something to offer viewers. Just my opinion.

I was not impressed with the first night. After last year's contest, I was looking forward to last night. Unfortunately, I fell asleep after about 20 minutes. Not impressed and I agree with the "plastic wedding dress" comment--Love Candace Olson and everything she does. Have not see anything to compare on Design Star. But I will try again next week.
Posted by Sharon S. – July 24, 2007 7:16 PM
I turned the show off after about thirty minutes. I watched the show last season, and liked it, but it seems like the network is getting off track by not featuring "real" designers with "real" projects. I also wish the decorators (from reading other comments, I understand that only one of these is an actual designer) would be given normal projects with better time limits. You can't judge someone by asking them to do a crazy stunt in 24 hours with $100, or whatever. It doesn't judge their actual talent. I would just like to see real decorators or designers at their real work. I would also like to see the actual talented ones make it to the end.

Thank you - I'm so happy Design Star is back! I think this season is going to be fantastic. I will be glued to the TV and I will buy something from Lumber Liquidators to prove it. I hope Josh Johnson wins. I can't stop staring at him and I'm not a gay man. Josh's idea for a custom celebrity design show (see Q&A) is a good one. If his "style" is too much for middle America, pair him with with the straight green man Josh Foss, it would be fun. You can tempt the celebrity with "being fabulous" or "doing the right thing green". Christopher Lowell Show and Candice Olson/Divine Design are great even when it's a rerun. David Bromstad's show has that potential to become a classic. David's show is screaming for a bigger budget to make it soar above all the DIY shows with his Zenlike sensabilities. I really like Adrianna - she could be the spanish language "toolbelt" lady. Neeraja has a cute Yorkie. She could probably host a beautiful/petsmart home show. I really like the WHOLE cast you picked and I can't wait for the next episode! (Clive rules!)

Wow, last night's introduction was certainly, um, different. I've already got my favorites to watch. IN: Todd, Josh F, Kim, Adriana. MAYBE: Lisa, Neeraja, Will. GET OFF MY SCREEN: Scott, Josh J, Christina, Robb. As it stands right now, just on the basis of what I saw, I think Kim is the next Design Star.

WOW, I am glad to see other people felt like we did.
My hubby and I really enjoy the show- WELL actually DAVID made us HUGE fans!! We absolutely ADORE him and got addicted to the show because of him and his talent and charm. I sure hope he has a long career on HGTV with Color Splash- I think thats the best show they have.
This season's Design Star cast- YIKES! Way too many weirdos is right! Its like the producers wanted to go for more "drama" this year than actual talent. We'll see how this goes? Definitely don't see another thing as good as David coming out of this Motley Crew- and don't know if this season can keep our interest either? My hubby was actually disgusted.
After last season- this is a huge disappointment!

i am sorry to say that i am very disappointed in the candidates for this season. how could you seriously consider so many wierdos. we watched every minute of every episode LAST season, nowever i do not know if i can stay interested this year of the wackos that are on.

Yay! Design Star starts tonight! Can't wait!! I have been going over all of the contestants and am loving most of their videos. So great! My favorites so far are Josh J.,Todd and Scott. Josh is hysterical, but can't stop talking for a minute. Todd is not only easy on the eyes, but he is obviously extremely talented in art, building and design. And, Scott has great ideas for designing, especially weddings. I don't care about their clothes, they just have to be good at what they do and fun to watch. I don't like any of the girls this time. They just don't do it for me.

Why so many professionals competing against design hobbiests? And for heavens sake get off the shoes - We are not waiting for the best wardrobe or cutest accent - just the best designer - glad so many are cofident but EGO is not always a winner - talent rules - David was the perfect example of hard work and great ideas - hope all of the hopefuls take a good hard look at what made him a winner !!

Who doesn’t LOVE Design Star and isn’t thrilled for this season to begin???? I’ve been counting the days! Last year I knew from the first second I saw David that he was the winner. This year however I’m not feeling it. I agree with the comment that states many of the contestants remind us of other designers who already have popular HGTV shows. And although Design Star is great fun to watch (my most favorite of all of HGTV programs plus my most favorite designer Vern Yip!) I’m expecting them to bring a little more to the table this year! I’m not sure I’m seeing “it” in the video clips. Those who talk a good game don’t have the “spark” or a TV personality that draws us in (I think Clive needs to give out some advice to these people). On the other hand those that do have the “spark” seem so over the top in their personal style that I’m skeptical about their design style, which makes me doubt I’d learn much from a show built around it.
I’ve really enjoyed the new direction HGTV has taken with some of their newer programming, but at the same time remain grateful to still see my old favorites too. So many others are copying HGTV’s successful shows that the typical design shows are getting “same old same old”. And although Color Splash is good (I just love David!) … we definitely don’t need another show based on color. Or another show like Freestyle where much too commonly the “so called designers” just flip flop the room and proclaim it’s designed! (Although I do enjoy the show very much when Evan Farmer is the host! He’s just soooo yummy! They should give him his own show!)
I’d love to see a show based on the “trash to treasure” section of Design Cents. Lisa M. might be the perfect host for a show such as that. Or maybe a show that tours average living spaces in other countries to examine how they use functionality and design. Adriana N. might be the perfect host for a show such as that. One thing I do know is that I’m rooting for something different. I don’t want just another pretty/handsome face or great body to stare at on the screen. (Pretty people are everywhere on TV and I’m so over that! Hello!) I want someone of substance who can inspirer my own creative juices with the information they bring to me in a new scrumptious way. Dazzle us HGTV!!
.

Casey, You and I agree on a lot... LOVE Clive! and can't wait to watch the show. Your idea about a DVD series is great! I hope they listen. You mentioned you applied, I hope you get it next year. Fingers crossed for ya! I'm looking at Adriana too I think she has a good shot!

I agree that the "weird" designers may be fun to look at but they don't help me do real life makeovers or upgrades. Give us everday people some help with real life problems. I like that Scott is a professional designer and not "cutesy".

And now theres contests to get us really roped in! Yippeeeee!! I would like to see the audition tapes. I too submitted for second season. The rule that the tape (5 mins) was to be unedited was odd and I wanted to confirm that indeed it was unedited (no break, stops, etc). I may apply next year and would really appreciate clarity on this. Looking forward to tonight! (I just love Santa Barbara style!)

I too love Deisgn Star, but for Pete's sake, can't they just put some more "normal" designers on the show. I don't want to ever make a wedding dress out of plastic or a lamp out of paper clips, okay, maybe that is creative to some, but my entire neighborhood, in the burbs...yes there are a lot of burb moms who watch HGTV...want to see more Candice Olsons on HGTV...enough of the cheap "throw some place mats on the wall and call it are" shows...
Give us some real designers with a real budget...
Show us something we would actually put
in our own houses... But, looking forward to the show...

I'm real excited about how the house turned out. I can't wait for another post about your experiences.

I can't wait until the 22nd either!! Design Star has become my life. I always dreamed of having my own show on hgtv. As soon as I saw previews for season one, I was freaking out and had to watch it religiously. I applied for season 2. I was SO close, but next year, for sure. ANYWAY.
Clive is my favorite. His witty comments create comic relief when the show gets stressful. I have a good feeling about Adriana, as you did. Her presense, her wide variety of ability, how she interacts with the camera and her audience..its all perfect! She definitely is at the top of my list. I have my predictions, but we will see how it all plays out!
This is a very cool thing you have going on. My friends got sick of me last season always talking about who I think would win, why, who would get eliminated, what rooms I liked, what rooms I hated, what I would have done instead, etc. It's nice to finally talk to people who understand! :)
PS. This would be a great DVD series. Especially behind the scenes and uncut versions!!
